DPC ki PhotoBUS is about the start its journey. Find your fellow passengers, they are all photography enthusiasts who no more want to rest with their cameras in their homes. Good chances of bumping into interesting people from all walks of life in the PhotoBUS.

Workshop Details
A unique photography workshop where you learn techniques from a master photographer, Harish Tyagi, followed by an outdoor trip to Bharatpur and Jaipur. Both these cities offer excellent photography opportunities, not to miss the fun and bond that you build with like-minded fellow participants. From Delhi to--Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary to Jaipur to Delhi on 21st (Friday), 22nd (Sat), 23rd (Sun) of October.
Stay: Bharatput--Birder's InnNight stays at Bharatpur and Jaipur in comfortable guest houses (on twin sharing basis)

  • You have to be a lover of learning photography first of all
  • Any camera is just fine for this trip. However, for bird photography, you may want a zoom lens with a tripod.
  • Comfortable shoes
  • Know cycling? Great. If not, we'll have a rickshaw for you at Bharatpur
  • Identity proof (any govt document)
  • Adaptability--The rooms are on twin sharing basis! :)

Facilitator: Harish Tyagi

Harish Tyagi, is currently is currently the Chief photographer (Indian sub-continent) for the European Press Photo Agency EPA and is a mentor of Delhi Photography Club. With more than a decade experience in photo journalism and capturing stories as they unfold, he is guiding the club in achieving its vision of taking photography homes.

Harish is the recipient of several awards, including, the National Media Fellowship for photojournalists ( 2001-2002) from the National Foundation for India, Gold Award( Nature and Environment category) at the First Indian Press Photographer’s Awards (Dec 2000). With a Master’s in Political Science, Harish’s core interest areas include issues related to the human consequences of international and civil conflict, the environment and children and he is currently working on Season Distress Migration and its effects on Children Under the media fellowship program

21st October 2011 A three-hour session on outdoor photography at Delhi Photography Club lounge
530 pm: Start from Delhi and beat the traffic!!
(Check in at Birder's Inn, Bharatpur)
22nd October 2011 Morning: Photo shoot at the world famous Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary to capture sunrise, bird and wildlife
Noon: Start for Jaipur
(Check in at UtsavNiwas Boutique Guest House)
Evening: Photography of a major market in the walled (pink) city
23rd October 2011 Morning to Noon: Photo capture around Albert Hall Museum, HawaMahal, Jalmahal and Nahargarh Fort
Afternoon: We start for Delhi
